Laser Dentistry And More In Round Rock
We believe in offering our clients advanced dental technology because we want you to have the most efficient, convenient, and painless experience possible. Dr. Ace is the only dentist in the world to obtain a Master’s Certificate in Dental Technology from the National Board for Certification in Dental Technology!
With Dr. Jovanovski, you’ll have access to several pieces of dental technology as well as professional skill that can make your dental procedure that much better!
CORDLESS DIGITAL X-RAY
When we use digital x-rays, it gives us the ability to see scans of your mouth in great detail. The better our understanding of your individual oral needs, the better treatment we can provide to you.
Beyond that, these digital scans are easily sent between computers and take much less time to read and interpret than traditional x-rays. The process of undergoing the x-ray itself is also much faster and simpler, and the reduced radiation exposure makes digital x-rays a great option for our patients, especially children and pregnant women.
CT SCANNER
The great thing about a CT scanner is that, rather than only showing your teeth, these scans also offer insights into your nerves, tissues, and jaw. It’s all completed in one fast, simple scan!
CT scanners can give us a 3D look into your overall oral health, so we have a full understanding of what actions will be best for your teeth, while taking the surrounding structures into account.
Here are some facts you should know about 3-D imaging. An iCat CBCT (@8.5 seconds) exposure is:
- About ½ as much as a full series of digital dental images
- About 1/5 as much as full (28) mouth series of standard dental x-rays
- About 1/70 as much as a typical medical CT scan
LASER DENTISTRY
Lasers have helped dentistry take great strides forward in many different treatments. In our office, we can offer laser treatments for both hard and soft tissues.
Using lasers on your teeth (also referred to as hard tissue) makes cleaning and shaping much easier and more precise. Similarly, laser use on soft tissue, like your gums, can cut down on healing times and reduce potential bleeding during treatments!
COMPUTER-AIDED SURGICAL GUIDE
We use our computer-aided surgical guide to place tooth implants, and the technology makes our placement incredibly accurate and precise.
By using a mechanized placement method, we dramatically reduce our margin of error to give you healthy new teeth that are placed exactly where they need to be.
SMILE SIMULATION SOFTWARE
We want you to be confident that the treatments we plan for you will deliver the results you want. We offer a way for you to try out your smile before you commit to a treatment plan. This fascinating piece of technology can show you what your teeth and smile will look like at the end of your smile makeover treatment.
You’ll know exactly what to expect when you’ve seen your smile simulated in our program, and going through treatments will be that much easier when you know the beautiful smile that’s waiting for you at the finish line!
